These programs resemble a traditional boarding school with a strong therapeutic element.  Structure is less restrictive with a well developed flexible group and individual therapy component.  The academic module might include AP college preparatory high school courses, competitive athletics, extracurricular activities and off campus travel.  Most schools grant high school diplomas and courses that transfer to public schools.  Length of stay is from 12 to 24 months.
